Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

We are located in Belltown at 62 Cedar St— on the corner of Elliott Ave and Cedar St downtown Seattle. However, our clients come from all over! We have clients from downtown Seattle, however we also have clients that come in from Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island, West Seattle, South Seattle, Bothell, Shoreline & Edmonds.

How much do you charge for personal training?

As all of our personal trainers are independent business owners, prices vary by trainer. You can expect to pay anywhere between $90-150/hr for 1:1 training, and $55-85/hr for small-groups of 2-3 persons. Different personal trainers offer package discounts on hourly personal training or reduced rates for monthly training memberships.

What do you mean by a private, independent personal training gym?

All of our trainers are independent business owners- and we rent our space to them. Our gym is private personal training only— meaning you’re getting a much more personalized and focused experience compared to big commercial gyms. There’s no crowd, no waiting for equipment, and minimal distractions. It’s just you (and maybe a small group) working directly with your trainer in a dedicated, private space. You share the gym with other trainers and their clients, not the general public. It’s all about quality, comfort, and getting the most out of your workout without the hustle and bustle of a large gym.

What is small-group training?

Small-group training is like the perfect middle ground! It’s a workout with a small group of 2-3 people, so you still get more personalized attention than in a large fitness class, but with the fun and motivation of working out with friends or others. Think of it as a mini class that feels much more personal! Plus, it’s more cost effective!

Do I need to bring my own group for small-group training, or can I join one?

Either works! You can join an existing group or bring your own crew—friends, family, or coworkers. It’s a great way to train with people you know or meet new workout buddies. Fill out our small-group waitlist if you’re interested in either.

Why should I choose personal training over a group class?

If you want a personalized plan that gets you to your goals faster, personal training is the way to go. You get a trainer who’s 100% focused on you—your form, progress, and motivation. In a group class, you share the trainer’s attention, so the focus isn’t as individualized.

Can I still reach my goals with group fitness?

Sure, group fitness can be great for general fitness, especially if you love the energy of working out with others! But if you have specific goals (like weight loss, building muscle, training for an event, or transitioning from rehab (physical therapy, chiropractic, etc.), personal training is a better fit because it’s custom-made for you.

What about injury prevention? Or if I have a current injury? Is personal training better for that?

Absolutely! A personal trainer will modify exercises for your body, helping you prevent or recover from injuries. In a group setting, it’s harder for the instructor to keep an eye on everyone, so personal training is the safer option.
